9/12 12th Grade Parent Coffee
All 12th Grade Parents are invited to the 12th Grade Fall Parent Coffee, “The College Tea x Gucci Events,” on Thursday, Sept 12, from 9:00 – 10:30 am, at Coppertail Brewing Co, in Ybor City, across the street from IKEA. Mike Wagstaff will answer parent questions about the college application process and Chelsea Wieloszynski, 12th Grade Dean, will forecast the 12th grade student events scheduled for this year. 9/19 7th Grade Parent Coffee
All 7th grade parents are invited to join us for our first of two parent coffees of the year! Coffee, water, and refreshments will be served. Mingle with other parents and then join us in a discussion and Q&A with Mr. Fenlon, Michele Cole, and Mrs. Johnson. We will focus on the “journey” that is middle school. Mrs. Johnson will speak a bit about executive functioning and how kids are building academic skills like time management, planning, etc. and how families can support those skills at home. Mr. Fenlon will talk about the partnership between the school and families and what we expect from kids in our middle school during these adolescent years. Michelle Cole will speak to how kids are developing socially and emotionally at 12 and 13 and what they need from adults. Please RSVP by September 16th. 9/24 Parent Education Committee – Coping with Stress and Anxiety
Parents of students in grades 6 – 12 are invited to attend this Parent Education Committee’s (PEC) seminar on 9/24 at 6:30PM. Dr. Sadberry will provide insight and advice for parents including how to identify and cope with stress, and anxiety. Dr. Sadberry knows firsthand the exhaustion parents face as they seek solutions for their students. Terrapin Dads Happy Hour Events
