9/27 International Families & Friends Hispanic Heritage Month Dinner

The TPPA International Families & Friends Group cordially invites all Tampa Prep families to our first event of the year. In commemoration of the Hispanic Heritage Month, our group will host a dinner at Spain Restaurant in downtown Tampa. Please join us for a night of delicious Spanish food and music on Wednesday, Sep 27th, at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP before Sep 24th. 10/3 Book Club Kickoff! 

All Tampa Prep parents are invited to our Book Club kickoff meeting on Tuesday, Oct 3rd, at 9:15 a.m. in the large conference room. At this gathering, we’ll create our reading list and schedule for the year! Coffee will be provided by your Book Club chairpersons. Baked goods are welcome. We request an RSVP by Oct 1st. 10/3 Tampa Prep Parent Outing at AR Workshop

All Tampa Prep parents and alumni are invited to join fellow parents for an afternoon creating the next great masterpiece for your home at AR Workshop, on Tuesday, Oct 3rd, at 11:30 a.m. Choose and purchase your project ahead of your arrival. You will leave the outing with some new Tampa Prep family friends and a piece of art to display in your home. Waters and light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring a morning beverage for yourself and and snacks or baked goods to share with the group. RSVP is required by Oct 1st. 10/4 11th Grade Parent Coffee – “Junior Year Forecast” 

All Tampa Prep 11th grade parents are invited to join us for our first 11th grade parent coffee on Wednesday, Oct 4th, at 9:00 a.m. at Coppertail Brewing Co. Head of Upper School, Robert Franz, and Director of College Counseling, Mike Wagstaff, will discuss the highlights to expect this year. We request an RSVP by Sep 29th. 10/5 8th Grade Parent Coffee – Boston Trip! 

All Tampa Prep 8th grade parents are invited to join us for our first 8th grade parent coffee on Thursday, Oct 5th, at 9:00 a.m. at Coppertail Brewing Co. Your 8th Grade TPPA representatives will be there with Head of Middle School, Joe Fenlon, who will provide all of the details for the upcoming Boston Trip. We request an RSVP by Oct 2nd. 10/8 Humane Society Pumpkin Patch Volunteer Opportunity

The Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch is coming! Tampa Prep juniors, seniors and their parents are invited to volunteer on Sunday, Oct 8th, with 2 shifts available. Volunteers will be selling pumpkins to the public to raise funds for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Full details and schedule of available shifts are available at the sign-up link. 10/12 7th Grade Fall Parent Social 

All 7th grade parents are invited to the 7th Grade Fall Parent Social on Thursday, Oct 12th, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Petra Middle Eastern Restaurant. A delicious buffet of appetizers will be provided by your TPPA hosts. Petra does not sell alcoholic beverages, but feel free to bring your own bottle of wine to share! Please RSVP by Oct 10th. 10/24 PEC Presents: “When Your Good Kid Makes a Bad Decision” 

Back by popular demand, Board Certified criminal defense attorney, Andrew Shein, a parent of three, will talk about real life situations where a teen or young adult made a poor choice with unexpected criminal consequences. With 20+ years in the state and federal criminal justice system, he will offer advice or suggestions on how your teen can recognize and make smart decisions in difficult situations. This TPPA Parent Education Committee (PEC) Seminar is designed for middle school and upper school parents of Tampa Prep students as well community parents. Please RSVP by Oct 20th.

Terrapin Dads Happy Hour Events

All Tampa Prep dads are invited to attend Terrapin Dads Happy Hour events throughout the school year beginning in September in the evenings for a casual gathering that sometimes includes a member of the Tampa Prep administration team. In addition to attending other TPPA events, Terrapin Dads also support events including the End of Year BBQ.  Check the Events Calendar for Updates!

Book Club Gatherings

All Tampa Prep parents are invited to attend Book Club meetings throughout the school year. Book Club meets every month from 9:15am – 10:30am beginning in October in the Large Conference Room (unless otherwise posted).
