12/4 11th Grade Parent Social

11th Grade Parents are invited to join the 11th grade reps at the home of Marcy and Jeffrey Zyonse for a night of fun and fellowship, Wednesday, December 4th, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.. 12/9 TPPA Book Club – Holiday Social

Our Book Club Holiday Social will be on Monday, December 9 at 6:30 at White Whale Solutions 400 E Palm Ave. Tampa Florida 33602. 12/10 – Outings Watercolor Workshop

Please join us for a workshop on painting watercolor holiday angels December 10, Tuesday, at 12:30. As of now we will be meeting at Katie White’s studio (this is subject to change depending on the number of RSVP’s). Space is limited. The cost to register is $75, for an additional $75 you can purchase a starter paint kit. The kit is not necessary for participation. They will include a travel watercolor set, paper, salt, acrylic paint and brushes. All the things you need to create the angels.  Please let us know when you sign up if you plan on purchasing a kit.  Payment for registration and the kit will be collected at the start of the event.  Please contact Sandi Santos at Sandi@sandisantos.com with any questions. 12/10 – International Families and Friends Holiday Party

All Tampa Prep families are invited to the annual International Families & Friends Holiday Party and Ornament Exchange on December 10th, at Petra, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Guests will bring one ornament (per family) for a fun evening playing white elephant. Please adhere to a $10-$15 limit per ornament. Petra does not serve alcohol; bring a bottle of wine if you wish to have any with your dinner.  There will be a buffet at $35 per person. We are looking forward to seeing you all there in your festive holiday attire for a fun night of dining, laughs and holiday cheer!

12/11 – TPPA Holiday Lunch

TPPA Board Members, please join your TPPA Executive Committee for our annual Holiday Luncheon. The event will be held at The Tompson’s house at 11:30 am on December 11th. This is the Executive Committee’s opportunity to say thank you for all of the work you put in this Fall and to enjoy some holiday cheer together. We’ll have plenty of food for everyone to enjoy, so there’s no need to bring anything but your appetite.  Please fill out the RSVP, by December 6th, so that we can get a headcount for food. 12/13 – 7th & 8th Grade Winter Dance

Tampa Prep students in grades 7 & 8 are invited to celebrate the season at the Winter “Sugar Plum” Dance at Tampa Prep, Friday, December 13th from 7 to 9pm! There will be food, a DJ, dancing and more.  In order to make the night a wondrous event, we need 6th grade parents to sign up to be dance chaperones.  We ask that it be 6th grade parents ONLY to give our 7th and 8th grade students their full independence. 12/15 – Community Service – Metropolitan Ministries

THIS EVENT IS FULL – TPPA has secured a volunteer event with Metropolitan Ministries Holiday Tent. The December General Tent Volunteer Opportunity is serving families throughout Tampa Bay with a full Thanksgiving meal this holiday season. As part of that effort, you will help on a variety of teams for this shift including but not limited to parking and greeting our guests, taking in donations from the community, and all aspects of the distribution of meals and Christmas toys for our guests.  Date: Sunday December 15th 2:00pm to 6:00pm Dress Code: Please be sure to wear CLOSED-TOE SHOES, and a shirt with sleeves (jeans and short sleeve t-shirts are great; no tank tops). Minimum Age: All volunteers must be 8 years old or older.   Questions can be directed to Brigid Futch at 813-785-9329

1/22/25 Parent Education Committee (PEC) Presents: Talk Show with College Counseling

All Upper School parents are invited to join us for a night with college counseling – Talk Show Style. Your TPPA hosts will interview College Counseling Director, Mike Wagstaff, based on questions you submit in advance. In addition, we will have time for audience questions that arise from the discussion. We are looking forward to an interactive dive into the college process with the Tampa Prep college experts and Upper School parents.
