Cell Phone Policy – New for 2024-25

Starting with the 2024-25 school year, the Tampa Prep middle school will be cell phone-free. Middle school students at Tampa Prep will not use mobile phones during the school day between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm. We expect that cell phones that are brought to school will be placed in a student’s locker and silenced or powered down.

With students not using their cell phones during and between classes, we hope to see more social interaction, more friendship, more play, more belonging, and most importantly, more learning.

We will present more information on this new policy and the research behind it early in the school year. Please peruse this enlightening article.

Questions? Please contact Joe Fenlon, Head of the Middle School and Associate Head of School
