AP Summer Assignments – Upper School Only

Upper School Students enrolled in Advanced Placement courses for the upcoming school year may be required to complete a summer assignment. These assignments serve the dual purposes of both reviewing relevant material learned last year and previewing material for the AP course. It is essential that all students complete each assignment, and do so in a thorough and timely manner. The assignment may constitute part of an early assessment for the course. All AP summer assignments are posted below. Students, if the course you’re looking for is missing, please reach out to your teacher directly.

College Counseling Common Application Workshop

We are excited to offer rising seniors (Class of 2027 students) a workshop regarding the Common Application since there is a main essay on the college common application. These workshops are provided to help students create their story. We will hold the annual college essay workshops offered by our fabulous English Department faculty with no fee attached. The workshops will be four days and run from 9am – 12Noon. This is a tremendous opportunity to get ahead and complete your college essay by working with our faculty in these workshops.  The workshops will run:

  • Session 1:  June 8th – 11th,  9am – Noon –  Register here
  • Session 2:  July 20th – 23rd, 9am – Noon  – Register here
  • Session 3:  July 27th – 30th, 9am – Noon –  Register here

*Please only sign up for one session.

As mentioned, there is no fee for this workshop and it is optional. We are still asking all students to have a full draft of their essay to their counselor by the end of the first week of senior year, whether they take the essay workshop or not. We plan to have and share the essay prompts at the beginning of summer so students can start working on their essay earlier. The workshop will be very beneficial to those who start their essay beforehand, and for those who choose to wait for the workshop.
The deadline to register is May 4th. These workshops will fill up quickly so please register as soon as you know your summer plans.
Please reach out to Mike Wagstaff should you have any questions.
Please email Ms. Kim Souza if you have any questions regarding registration.
