Tim Schar is a Managing Director in Bank of America Securities’ Investment Banking Division, focused on Emerging Growth & Regional Coverage (EGRC) in the Southeast US.

Tim has an extensive background with more than 25 years of investment banking and leadership experience, as well as CFO roles for three venture-stage growth companies. Prior to joining BofA Securities, Tim served as the market president and Middle Market team lead at Truist Bank in West Florida, and before that, the head of Technology, Media and Telecom Equity Capital Markets for Wells Fargo Securities, based in San Francisco, CA.

Tim has significant experience across a full range of equity and debt financing, as well as M&A advisory, spanning numerous industries, including Media, Technology, Business Services, Diversified Industrials and Healthcare.

Tim received a BA in Economics with concentrations in Mathematics and Computer Science from Macalester College in St. Paul MN. Tim has served on the Tampa Prep board since 2019. He lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife and four daughters.
