The Shah Family

Education has always been extremely important to Mona & Anjan Shah. So when they had concerns about the education their children were receiving in public school, they began to explore other school options for their children, Adin ‘26 and Krisha ‘29, which led them to becoming valued members of our Tampa Prep community.

What kind of an impact has Tampa Prep had on your kids?

Tampa Prep is a wonderful school and community. Our kids are happy to be immersed in an environment that supports academic exploration, critical thinking, teamwork, community, and overall kindness and respect for one another.

What is your favorite thing about the school?

The amazing robotics program and the Tampa Prep philosophy!

What inspired you to become involved with our Building Bold campaign?

Coming from immigrant families, Anjan and I are where we are today because of education. Growing up, we have been lucky to have access to a safe environment where education was a priority and supported by our families and community. Globally, this is not always the case.  We are thankful and will always support and prioritize efforts that engage students to learn more and be more! The STEM program at Tampa Prep is already impressive, and the planning and innovation surrounding the Building Bold campaign is exciting. When we first heard about it we were inspired to ask two of our closest friends, Neel and Amy Prakash and Mili and Sachin Patel, to name a science lab together. We were thrilled when they said yes! We cannot wait to see how this impacts the student and community and are happy to be a part of the process.

The Forde Family

Joselynne Forde’s involvement with Tampa Prep began with her daughter’s desire to find a school that would allow her to pursue her passions and flourish academically. Soon after, Joselynne volunteered with the TPPA and served on the PrepFest Committee. She and her husband also became Parent Ambassadors, and loved their role, talking with new & prospective families. This positive experience led her to currently serve on the Board of Trustees.

TP: “What kind of an impact has the school had on your child?:

JF: “Our daughter has excelled in academics and her track pursuits. She has established life long relationships and looks forward to attending school everyday.”

TP: “What is your favorite thing about the school?”

JF: “Definitely the culture!”

TP: “What inspired you to become involved with our Building Bold campaign?”

JF: “We believe in Tampa Prep and their sincere desire to do what’s best for children, which is exceedingly important to us.”

The Cimino Family

Joe & Susan Cimino, along with their children Ella ‘22 and Joey ‘26, knew that they had found their home at Tampa Prep when they saw first-hand how the positivity and authenticity of the teachers and administrators resonated with their own family values. That, and the fact that they also got to see their kids walk into school with smiles on their faces every day.

Susan is a member of TPPA as a 9th grade representative where she greatly enjoys meeting other Tampa Prep parents and giving back to our wonderful school. Additionally, she serves on Prep Fest’s marketing committee, and is a regular attendee of Tampa Prep’s Book Club. Susan and Joe, as owners of WRA Engineering, have also been gracious sponsors of the Tampa Prep Gala. We are so grateful for their generous and thoughtful support!

“As soon as Joe and I heard about the Building Bold campaign we knew we wanted to be involved. We are grateful to be a part of this next phase of this wonderful school. We know we will be so proud, for many years to come, to see the new building and to know we contributed to it. We are thrilled to be a part of the Building Bold campaign!”

The Feindt Family

Megan and Thomas Feindt have proudly raised three Terrapins: Reid ‘22, Addison ‘26 and Charlotte ‘28. Megan has also been an active volunteer at Tampa Prep, serving as President of the Tampa Prep Parents Alliance from 2018-2020 and as a Trustee since 2018. Both Thomas and Megan are also fixtures in the community; Megan as the owner of Knot the Point, a needlepoint store in South Tampa, and Thomas as the CEO of Grow Financial. We are so grateful that they have entrusted Tampa Prep with their children and have chosen to invest their time, talent and treasure in our school’s vision for the future.

“We decided to give to the Building Bold campaign because we believe in Tampa Prep. We chose Tampa Prep because we believed our children would thrive here. Since the beginning, we have experienced the mission being lived – Reid, Addison and Charlotte have benefited from the culture of kindness, creativity and aspiration. They have found their passions and developed friendships with students, teachers and coaches. We believe in Kevin Plummer’s vision for our own children and for future Terrapins. For all of those reasons, we decided to commit to a stretch gift beyond our normal giving. A gift to make an impact, leave a legacy and serve as an example for our kids.”
