EARLY DISMISSALS

  • No student will be permitted to leave campus during the school day without prior notice from a parent to Mrs. Zollinger.
  • Parents are asked to notify Mrs. Zollinger as soon as possible that a student will be leaving school early.
  • Students leaving early must sign out at Mrs. Zollinger’s desk. Upon signing out, students will be given a pass to leave campus.
  • All students who leave school early due to a doctor’s appointment must bring a note from the non-parent doctor indicating that he or she was at an appointment upon their return to school.

TARDIES

  • Parents are asked to notify Mrs. Zollinger of any late arrivals by the time classes begin at 8:50 am.
  • All students who are late to school due to a doctor’s appointment must bring a note from the non-parent doctor indicating that he or she was at an appointment.

ABSENCES

On the day that a student is absent, parents are asked to notify Mrs. Zollinger (bzollinger@tampaprep.org or 813-251-8481, ext. 4031) by the time classes begin at 8:50 am.

PLANNED ABSENCES

If a student knows of an upcoming absence they must complete a Planned Absence form and return it to Mrs. Zollinger at least one day prior to the absence. The full Tampa Prep attendance policy can be found in the 2019-2020 Guide to Academics and Student Life.

WHAT ARE LUNCH TIMES AND OPTIONS?

LUNCH OPTIONS

  • Lunch may be brought from home. Because of social distancing, at this time microwaves will not be accessible.
  • You may purchase food delivery from our lunch provider, EVOS. Read full details for EVOS ordering.

LUNCH TIMES

Both Middle and Upper School students eat from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. NOTE: Some days have “special schedules” so lunch times may change.

IMPORTANT FOOD DELIVERY REMINDER

NO DELIVERIES OTHER THAN EVOS will be allowed on campus at this time. That includes vendors that were previously allowed on campus such as Panera, Subway, Dominos, Kelp, Jimmy John’s, Pita Pit, etc. Additionally, Uber Eats, Postmates, Bite Squad or other independent contractor deliveries will not be allowed on campus. This policy is in place for both safety and security concerns.

Our security officers have been instructed to turn away any delivery drivers who come to school who are not from Evos. If you place an order with any other vendor or delivery service, it will not be delivered to students. This means that you will be out of the cost of both the meal and the delivery. Tampa Prep will not take any responsibility for orders that are turned away.

WHAT BUS SERVICE DO YOU OFFER?

Tampa Prep currently offers morning bus service from the Brandon, Tampa Palms, Carrollwood and Westchase areas based on interest. The cost for this service is $600/semester or $1200/year. In addition to the semester and yearly morning service, please know that our bus service is just that, a service. Should a family ever need to take advantage of our bus service for occasional purposes, students may hop on the bus and parents will be charged $10.00 per ride.

The central pick-up locations and times for each area are listed below.

To sign up for the Terrapin Bus Service, complete this form. You must also print, sign and return the BUS SERVICE BEHAVIOR CONTRACT. Contact Wes Burns at 813.251.8481 or wburns@tampaprep.org with any questions.
